The Russian capital wants to activate cooperation with London
Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations Sergey Cheremin discussed opportunities and perspectives for cooperation between the two capitals with Trevor Lewis, Counsellor and Director of the Department of International Trade Russia.
The minister recalled that relations between the two capitals were at a relatively high level prior to the sanctions, and even now there is active cooperation at the level of specific departments. London delegations take part in major Moscow events – the Urban Forum, the Olympiad of Metropolises, and others. According to Sergey Cheremin, Moscow is interested in London’s experience in the sphere of transportation development, IT, and security. The 5th Russian-British Business Forum, which will take place in London at the end of November and will be dedicated to digital infrastructure and industry, will be a good platform to exchange best practices. The minister noted that the Russian capital is ready to cooperate across a wide range of issues.
In turn, Trevor Lewis pointed out that Moscow is a metropolis at a global level, and promised to assist in establishing business contacts with the British side.
